Terms of service

These terms apply when you add the Wardeny bot to a Discord server, use its features, or use this website and dashboard. By doing so, you agree to them.

1. The service

Wardeny is a free Discord bot with a web dashboard for moderation, security, support tickets and community features. It's provided as it is. Features may change, and we may pause or end the service at any time.

2. Discord's rules come first

You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Wardeny may only be used on servers and by people allowed to use Discord.

3. Responsibilities of server admins

• You decide which features run on your server and how they're set up, for example AutoMod rules, bans, lockdowns and the AI.
• Let your members know that Wardeny is used, for example in your rules channel, and link to our privacy policy.
• If you connect your own AI provider, you're responsible for that provider and its terms, and for keeping your API key safe.
• Keep an eye on what Wardeny does on your server and fix settings that don't fit.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Wardeny to harass people, spread spam or illegal content, collect data about people without a reason, or attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may block servers or users that break these rules.

5. AI answers

AI replies in tickets are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They aren't professional advice. Your team stays responsible for decisions such as bans or unban appeals.

6. Liability

Wardeny is free and we can't guarantee it will always work or catch every threat. We're liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for harm to life, body or health. For slight negligence we're only liable for breaches of essential obligations, limited to typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded as far as the law allows.

7. Ending use

You can stop using Wardeny at any time by removing it from your server. To delete your server's stored data, use Settings, then "Delete all data" in the dashboard.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. German law applies, as long as this doesn't remove protection you have under the laws of your own country.
